I got a Baofeng UV-5R Plus from a local ham for use to borrow during public service events or ultimately helping out a new ham at some point.

I have not used it a whole lot and has sat in a box pretty soon after I got it, but from testing it is like the other Baofeng units I own – cheap, but gets the job done. This one is a great candidate for the Mobilinkd TNC4 instead of my Baofeng UV-5R EX and use the other one for backup or a new ham.
